How is your hope today?
You may not hear this question often, but most of us are hopeful for something: a job, a home, or a change in our circumstances. Perhaps you are looking for something greater, waiting for an answer to prayer?
Hope is about maintaining the expectation that something will happen.
The Bible teaches us that God is the "God of hope" and that He is the foundation upon which our hope should be built. It also says that the joy and peace of believers mainly arise from their hope, implying that the more hope we have, the more joy and peace we experience through the power of the Holy Spirit.
God's true, heavenly joy fills the soul and brings peace of mind to the weary believer, even during the darkest hours, as long as your spirit yearns deep in the heart and your eyes are turned towards God.
Now hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
May you have strong consolation and lay hold of the hope set before you.
